GEMS (Gem State) PIano Competition offers Idaho’s pre-college and young artists participants and pianists a chance to perform in front of a panel of respected, nationally recognized judges. Reserved exclusively for Idaho residents, the competition emphasizes both technical precision and artistic interpretation, with participants receiving thoughtful, detailed critiques from seasoned pianists and educators. Hosted at the Stephens Performing Arts Center—acclaimed for its exceptional acoustics and ranked among the top venues in the country—the event provides young musicians with a professional performance experience, setting a high standard for their future musical endeavors.
